This may seem odd, but I find most software metronomes to be horribly inaccurate.
I’m not sure if I’ve run into this on Stadium but I ran into it constantly in Hx Edit.Anyone else using Helix Stadium Editor on macOS?
I find that after hitting the red X to close the app, I have to manually right click the Dock icon and quit the app otherwise it won't start again.
Stadium Firmware Beta signup!
Hey all, we are now officially opening up beta signup for Stadium firmware. If you're interested, just head over to [https://line6.com/account/betateams/](https://line6.com/account/betateams/) and create an account, make sure Helix Stadium XL is checked, and make sure your info is current. Things to note:
* You WILL be signing an NDA and under no circumstances are you allowed to discuss what's in the beta outside of the official beta venues
* We really REALLY need you to actually engage with the new stuff and give us feedback on it, even if you don't specifically find bugs
* You will be installing firmware onto your unit that is by definition NOT READY FOR RELEASE. That means there are almost certainly bugs and it might not be stable or reliable. It's probably not a great idea to gig this, so take that into account before signing up. You are able to roll back to release firmware at any time if you need to
* We hugely appreciate anyone who takes the time to do this because it is an immense help for us, all feedback and reporting that we get from this gets taken very seriously
That‘s normal macOS behavior. The red X doesn‘t quit an app, it just closes its window. So if you try to restart an app that‘s still running, just doesn‘t have an active window anymore… it doesn‘t work.Anyone else using Helix Stadium Editor on macOS?

That's how some apps behave, others do actually quit when you close the window. Axe Edit does this, along with lots of the Apple apps that ship with the OS. Most of the apps that do remain running when you close the window will also open a new window when you click the dock icon (Mail, Messages, Calendar for example). That‘s normal macOS behavior. Exactly. The Helix Stadium app, currently is the only one in my system that doesn't open up its window back again when clicking on the dock icon after closing its window. That's how some apps behave, others do actually quit when you close the window. Absolutely. Didn't want to sound rude. The unit is an absolute blast and I can't stop playing. I'd really love to help to iron out some of the things left though that's why the question for beta team application (first rule of the beta team, you don't talk about the beta team). I feel pretty confident it will replace my OG Helix for live use in January. To be fair, they did ask if people wanted to get it earlier or wait until the Showcase update. People overwhelmingly voted to get it earlier. If it got delayed, I'm sure more bugs would be ironed out.
When I first came across that, I expected the signal to B to be muted.

What app doesn’t open up its window again after clicking its dock icon? I have not encountered that at all on these past few years on many apps I’ve used.Common behaviour for most (or at least many) macOS apps. "X" isn't closing the app but the window only. Which is why you can't restart it, either - simply because it's already running.

The Stadium metronome is fantastic.
I’d love to be able to program time signatures and accents into that metronome.I only messed with it once, but am hopeful it will be very helpful both for individual practice and for those nights when our drummer can't make it to rehearsal. But it didn't seem to accent any beats. It's just a straight click with no accents at all. Am I missing something?
No, that’s not normal. Every app on all of my Mac’s closed without having to quit it. The only ones that don’t? HX and StadiumThat‘s normal macOS behavior. I think an important piece of data is missing here...You are incorrect. Clicking the red x in the upper left corner of a window only closes the window in almost every Mac app. To quit the app, you need to right-click on the app icon in the doc or go to the app name in the menu bar and select Quit.
