Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

No doubt.

Somehow, the Insane channel makes me feel it was more based on a Metal Zone than a tube smp.

I will say, with the Oblivion model, it's not about amp branding or where it came from.

The model behaves like an Agora model to me. They could have called it a Solo Mod or whatever the model is based on.

I doubt the original models are completely novel circuits.

It's almost like the polar opposite of the Badonk. I find myself adding some low end via an EQ sometimes because it is so relentlessly tight. But it stays clear and saturated all the way through the gain range.

I don't know if my ears are just crap, but the cabs seem to sound better in the Stadium. I have been auditioning lots of IRs and whilst they sound great, the cabs just sound better. I didn't have this experience with the original Helix. The HX amps benefit from this as well.

Could be the more realistic impedance curves and the additional dynamic range in the I/O. I think Agoura is doing most of the heavy lifting when I’ve perceived better sonic quality in Stadium.

I noticed the same thing. When I've tried Helix hardware or Native in the past, I thought the stock cabs were good enough, but often preferred 3rd party IRs. I did load up a handful of IRs to the Stadium to try out, but am not necessarily finding them to be better. I seem to be getting along fine with the stock cabs for the most part. They do sound better than I remember. I'm sure some people might still prefer IRs though.

It's probably a combination of the things mentioned by EOEngineer above.

Here's a question RE: multiple footswitch assignments.

You toggle through them by tapping the capacitive switch they are linked to. How do you remove ONE of the linked blocks on a multiple switch? As far as I can see; you jump to that assigned block by touching the switch repeatedly but then there is no "remove" option when you tap the effect block like you would if you were assigning the switch to that block. Is there a way to do it on the device itself?

@ccc118 I tried the speaker link trick by bumping amp and cab but it didn't work. Or I did it wrong :bag
Fastest method of clearing a single bypass assignment:
  1. Tap-hold the inspector header of the block. This jumps to the Bypass/Control page for that block with Bypass in focus.
  2. Turn Knob 2 (Switch) to "Off."
You can do the same with parameters assigned to stomps, but in this case, tap-hold the parameter, not the inspector header. Stadium jumps to the Bypass/Control page with that parameter in focus. But it might be faster to just tap the parameter and then [Clear Controllers] from the sidebar.

Thank you sir! You should make a video :D
