Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

So what actually drew you to plunk down the serious cash for the Stadium?
here we go batman GIF

@Digital Igloo
Hey Eric,
Going back to this
Can you please tell me whether there are plans to address this in the future?
When using an IR, it would be more fitting to be able to choose a SIC that is more appropriate with the IR.
Thanks
We can't talk about future plans.
there’s nuance that’s important. If the traditional 68 Plexi is what L6 was going for - they nailed it. My point is that we either need control of bright cap and filtering parameters on that model, or we need a good 70s Superlead to do “that other” Superlead thing. The L6 Plexi is an opinionated take and we’re going to need more variation. I don’t need fractals 10+ Superlead’s or whatever it is, but I need a 70s spec model.
We're working on stuff...

I was hoping I could consolidate my modeller needs into one unit, and sell my Axe3. It's way too early to do that right now.

I don't want to be too hard on the Stadium - I do like it. I like it a lot. But I'm not properly wow'd or drunk in love with it yet.

Similar sentiment here, which isn’t as negative as it seems on the surface. As things progress I’m feeling like there’s a lot of momentum behind Stadium, and that we’re going to be in “embarrassment of riches” territory before we know it. I’d love to know they are as responsive as they’ve been without decimating their development road map.

Super fair take.

Keeping it a buck, I have similar hopes that it'll be the ONE to rule them all (I certainly can't see myself leaving it for any existing flagship floorboard modelers, and I've tried all the others), and I'm happy with the trajectory it's on thus far.

Is it all the way at the top of the pops across the board? No. Other units have better preset switching times, a healthier selection of reverbs (although I really like the Dynamic ones and the Glitz. But more is always better!), better rotaries, more modded Marshall options and more efficient DSP steps (looking at you, Fractal Channels).

But being 70-85 percent in those areas and being 90-100 percent on a lot of the Agoura stuff thus far while being somewhere around 200,000 percent for usability, workflow (I love the preset clips, Focus view and even like the sweetening from the Hype parameter) and on-unit UX makes me a very happy owner.

And I keep thinking...it'll always get better month after month and year after year.

I think that is a very lofty thought. This technology is organic, vendors are always seeking improvement on their technologies. Well....except for K..
Tonex and NAM came out of nowhere and I can't imagine new vendors won't come to do the same in the coming years.
