It don’t matter cause the audience can’t tell the difference..

Freddie Freeloader is a straight up 12 bar blues, and All Blues is a 12 bar blues with a twist. Definitely a lot of modal jazz on the album, but there is blues in there as well.

My point was just that the idea that no new blues song has been written in the last 70 years is ridiculous
I'm just sayin', it's not like boring blues that most people think of. The twist of All Blues is that it's in 6/8.

Rembrandt, he was a pentatonic wanker so of course lots of people liked him. But would he have been better if he cut off his ear? Who knows?!?

As are the majority of all slow Blues...
But yes All Blues kills, as does that whole album.

The twist if you will is that the expected Ⅳ chord is minor or actual C7 against the bassline in G making it a G-6 , plus it has a minor Blues turnaround of sorts.
