1 releases albums I hum the melodies to for decades. The others; not so much. Despite being absolutely monstrous on a technical level.
Man; I used to LOVE reading guitar and metal mags back in the dayWTF reads magazines anyway? The general level of the rock music industry is mediocre at best right now, so why not?
Me too, almost any mag, but the times are a changin' unfortunately...Man; I used to LOVE reading guitar and metal mags back in the day
Decible is still good. AFA metal mags go. Not sure if the UK/european stuff is still cool like it used to be?Me too, almost any mag, but the times are a changin' unfortunately...
I doubt either of the two other guys on that cover would consider Satriani that way.
I'd almost argue that neither Tosin or Guthrie should be on the cover then. The "league" put forth on the cover is rock guitar virtuosos.
I'd hate to see how you used to organize your CD collection.Nor do I. I'm thinking more along the lines of generations. Tosin and Guthrie are 2010-2020 while Joe really made his mark in the 1980-1990 era.

I guess some would consider this rock. I don't but then I'm not sure what it actually is?
Same. Receiving a new issue of Guitar for the Practicing Musician was like Christmas morning.Man; I used to LOVE reading guitar and metal mags back in the day
I personally enjoy how she looks. Let’s face it, she doesn’t look that way by accident, either. She’s selling and I’m buying. Just like those rockstars you mentioned. They were no better no worse.Women in music, specifically guitar-centric music, are in a bit of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kinda situation. First of all, she can play, better than many others who've graced the cover. Second, who are we to make comments on how she dresses? Maybe that's what makes her feel good, to dress how she thinks is compelling? Was there the same outrage when male guitarists had their chest hair out, wearing tight leather pants, with their high cheek bones and their fuckme stare on the cover?
Would it make you feel better if she was dressed like a Puritan?
Told my wife upon seeing this very magazine in the garbage and I didn’t even open it yet, I’m not renewing my subscription. I don’t even read them anymore. I consume this media all elsewhere.Same. Receiving a new issue of Guitar for the Practicing Musician was like Christmas morning.
