Fwiw, why is the 1 Switch Looper just sooo bad? Doublepressing to stop it is the most hit&miss process I've ever stumbled across, very often it's just switching to overdub mode, then back to play mode until it finally accepts a doublepress. I guess it's related to the switches not being that exact anyway. It's just extremely tough to get loops perfectly in time (regardless of the looper type you're using). My cheesy Zoom G3 is doing all of this so much better it's a shame for the Stomp. Needless to say that both the very old GT-10 and my recent GT-1000 are also way better at it.
And fwiw, it was just as bad on the Floor back then (just that at least I was always able to use the fullblown looper), so it's not an issue with my particular unit.
I don't think this can be fixed (as it seems to be at least partially hardware related), but for their next generation modeler, L6 should really either skip the looper or come up with something decent.
