I agree. Black looks ugly for the XL but red works really nice!

That's likely just ground loops somewhere else. The stock HX power supplies have no ground connection

Nah, doesn't sound like ground issues at all. And as said, the cheapo HB PSU (also groundless) is not delivering these issues.

I think it's more because it's a really crowded market now and fair or not all the Helix hardware is getting old design wise.

Man, yeah, it definitely shows up way brighter in photos. I had to Photoshop this and maybe got 75% of the way there?

The yellow looks way more gold than in the photo below but I didn't have time to go further.
