My only pedal buy so far this year: I added the Pettyjohn Rare. I sprung for the optional Emerson cap (hey, if there's an optional tone deal, I'm usually gonna want it).
It's a sweet sounding pedal, Stephen Pettyjohn's take on the vibe of the Klon, but not a clone of it. Honestly, it's different enough from a Klon that I kinda wish it hadn't been presented that way, because really, it does more, and it's got a clearer sound. It has NOS stuff inside, but I don't remember what. Point is, it sounds great.
It's on the lower right on my pedalboard, pic below (click the thumbnail to see it).

This arrived safe and sound from Austin Texas earlier this morning.
First thing I noticed was the smaller box.

Today I bought a Boss BD-2.
First I bought a DS-2 2 weeks ago. Sounded kinda cool in the store (through a Katana), but at home with my amp and 2x12... Horrible. In both modes.
Went to the store today and the owner let me swap it for a BD-2. Much better. So much better.
