Getting a new PC for audio/video production.

This PC has two hard drives. I am wondering which drive I should install my DAW, video editing software, samples, drum MIDI, etc.? What is best practice?

On the C drive, I would have all the software. Audio and video projects, drum samples, etc. on the D drive.
