So what's the difference between the JEL and the BE? The ad copy sounds like it has a Plexi-ish clean channel with some kind of MV Marshall? Probably something that sounds a little more open and raw than the BE?

The JEL "gain" channel is brighter and less compressed than the BE.
The "normal" channel on the JEL is pretty much a 2203 JMP.

Great amp. If the pedal captures it well, it will be killer!

If this is more "open" sounding than what I'm hearing from the IR-X, I may check it out. I'm not totally happy with the IR-X, but I think it is because I like the out of control Marshall sound a bit more.
