Yes I have been banned 2 days … after being told to go fuck myself . Great hm?
I was polite at the start,
but as everyone who got a minimum ego,
I won’t being talk like shit by strangers behind their computers .
That’s « normal « in a way that insulting is not autorized, but I felt insulted myself, so
The fun thing is that I post like once a month … well.

2/ the first answer that I have from Cliff is that I can go use another product if I am not happy . I hated that answer. To me It was a complete disrespect for what I have done from the brand since maybe 10 years now. (I owned the axe fx 2)

I have promote the fractal In all my socials, friend, others forums, even others brand forum lol . I always said that this is the best modeler, that’s you need to have one …
I have done millions of demos , I have 70000 followers in my guitar channel. When I say that something is great, I am sure that there is a commercial impact for fractal audio, I am sure that I have helped to sell axe fx, as I got messages like « wow, because of you I have bought an Axe fx as i love your tone »

I know but as people who don’t know you at all talks to you like you are a rookie, sometimes i feel obliged to put my balls on the table … I hate doing that as I am not a pretentious guy at all . But sometimes you want to do the daddy like « hey Bobby, I do music since 30 years etc.. »

Everytime I opened my mouth denouncing something it was always the same . And then there is an update and they say « thank you Cliff » ….

Having spent a lot of time on the Kemper forum years back, I have observed how often a non-native English speaker can come across more harshly than intended. Then comes the responses, then things escalate from there.

Before he had a kid, NKP had valuable presence all the time, IMO.

I think he really had to press Cliff to hear an error on the JP Mk V or something a few years ago? Cliff remained more calm that time and eventually agreed and fixed it. The intervention by NKP was seen as very valuable, AFAIK. IIRC, it was not his only feat to help out in appreciable ways.

People whose native language is not English can easily be taken wrongly and should be given some leeway. If FAS doesn't secretly understand NKP is right too (not more right), I worry for their mental health... IMO, he did not deserve Cliff's style of reply, which understandably started things getting out of hand. Especially as soon after, another guy piles on and cuts NKP's d*ck off too... Both of these reactions are enough of an excuse to explain what happened next, IMO.

Seems those threads have to become a Love Fest now(?), even while Cliff has stated that a simple Like is sufficient for him.

It's also sad he quit sharing his own enthusiasm about a firmware. Weeks of hard work are now kind of hidden into a dry one-liner, making it less easy to appreciate what has gone into it and making us feel we are nobodies...

PS: I am not NKP's wife We have so far never talked BTS.

IIRC, there have been threads much worse in the past. Not a single post there should have been deleted. Some people even became reasonable and/or apologized.

Presentation and perception are the critical factors in communicating with others. Your presentation will impact the other person's perception. And if there is a shit storm already in progress, it's generally a good idea to not add to the chaos.

The least you can say is him having great ears for the amps/devices he has a lot of experience with (which seem to be plenty). Not only does that make him special, those people are the gems of the community. I have difficulty naming more than 5 or 10 on the FAS forum.

PS: I'm not his fan, nor have I ever tried or purchased his presets. Just being fair!

There is always the possibility that you don't quite sense when Orvillian is joking around and when he's being serious, much in the same way that somebody might misinterpret a non native speaker's directness as abrasive or intentionally confrontational.

Nothing wrong with Noma's viewpoint on the matter of authentic/ideal parameters. That's a valid discussion topic which could have been discussed properly.

Where it went wrong is that NKP stated his opinion as the only true approach and therefore degraded Fractal's approach. That tickles any designer's nerves.

It was NOT a language issue. Noma started insulting dissenting members and telling them to shut up long before the final insult.
Normally I wouldn't go into this here. But Noma chose to post here, and opinions are being exchanged.

BTW, English is not my native language. So anything I write in this post can be interpreted in any way that suits your pov.
