Fractal Talk

Lol yes I know but combining your favorite chorus and pitch block and delay block or any other combo into one COMBO block could save signal path space, and maybe if done correctly it could cut down on CPU since it's all in one block and not 3 blocks taking up space?

I don't know lol, eventide is good at doing this with their algorithms by combining a few things in one, but then again they don't have long signal paths like we do so I guess that helps on their end.

Oh forget it, im talking out my ass now :D lol.

Anyway, I had fun tonight with this send/return trick :D

Not sure I follow? I am using the gm-800 in3 block in the path between the return and send which also has a delay block and then the delay repeats get synthesized by the gm-800.

I think he's just clarifying, because this is something that hangs people up fairly regularly. The In/Out blocks correspond to the physical input and output jacks on the back of the unit. The send and return blocks are for routing the signal from one row to another internally (on the grid) and are periodically assumed to be an effects loop (due to the terminology).

I know but I'm doing the return/send trick based on this video

WARNING: If you're going to experiment with the send/return thing, definitely turn your main volume on your unit down super low until you get the feel of it or turn it all the way off, add effect block after delay and bring it in slowly when checking each effect or effect preset. Adding some effects can cause feedback or rumbles that are super loud. I added a synth block and tried one of the synth presets and it rumbled so loud it cut audio off from my fm9 and wouldn't come back on until i rebooted, so there must be some audio safety thing baked in!
You'll learn fast if you aren't careful!

Just loaded up the factory presets, these things sound great!!! I need to spend more time with the Vox stuff, for sure. Stoked there's ample just-the-basics amp presets without crazy names. I'll probably move stuff around a bit to do some organizing, the reason I kept Live Gold for so long was having all the amps organized by name and paired with a cab that'll get you started immediately, but these new presets are bringing some good inspiration and it's nice to have the current state of Fractal represented by these.

Damn, that Studio 20 is killer!!!
