For the children!
It runs perfectly fine. I would put it on if I were you... just so you don't have to do major re-works soon. Although...Half afraid of asking if "FM3 Firmware Version 9.02 public beta" is running ok and would be fine to put on the fm3 when it comes if it's not already been updated?

This is what I do majority of the time.
I just take backing tracks from youtube and toss them in the DAW and then record noodlie-noodlies over it and then sync them manually with the video and upload... If that works fine then im all good!
As for my own recordings for my ambient/experimental stuff, im never on time anyway or use click tracks or drums, so going off time during ambient or drones is a must haha
same-same on FM9. Haven't played with latest much yet. I'm just going to wait for the updated presets (released today for FX III) to filter down.I think I am running 8 something on my FM3? Gigging it regularly has had me being a bit behind. I do have the latest beta on the FM9 and will be gigging it here soon-ish?
If you’re keeping the Helix, you could also use it as a hub to run everything else through. I forget how many stereo loops it has, but I’m sure with a bit of creative routing you could come up with something. Plus, the MIDI implementation in Helix is pretty good, so you could even set things up in Command Center to control everything else from the Helix switches…
Also note that you may want to update the factory presets if you want to experiment with any of them. Fractal today just announced an update to the Factory Presets for the FXIII, and those will likely trickle down to the FM series in due time (aka soon) ;~)) There is a newish set from December that I believe has already been adjusted for FM users (and likely not installed on your acquired unit), but don't quote me on that!Half afraid of asking if "FM3 Firmware Version 9.02 public beta" is running ok and would be fine to put on the fm3 when it comes if it's not already been updated?
Seems like me asking questions is annoying or something lol
I had thought about that and thought about just running the fm3 into the helix fx loop but I opted out of that idea for now. I got helix on the hardware synth table right now, but if im not happy with the way things are I can always put it back on my main desk and run fm3 into it.

EDIT: I see that KFF had already mentioned the new Factory presets for the FXIII, sorry, did not see that before I posted this.
From the picture it looks like the seller i bought it from was on 7.00 firmware, but not sure if they used an older pic and it's still updated. However I'll know for sure when it comes. I have the latest beta on my desktop waiting and the latest fm3-edit too.
All roads lead to the III if you have FOMO or want the current firmware at all timesIf FW drip is your thing; just buy the III.
