what????

As far as I know still; you have to manually compensate for latency when using the FM3 as an interface.

Sorry. Not trying to be a wet blanket :bag

Ugh, why no one tell me until now lol :P

If i can record one track of live guitar shredding over a backing track in my reaper daw then im ok lol

Then I can just align it when im done if needed.

Why wouldn't cliff think this is something that should be looked into deeper especially you know making a mark 2 version at the time and still having same issue?

You all trying to make me regret this before it arrives? lol

Am I going to go back to helix lol

This is a good question that usually gets swept under the rug as a non-issue .

It should get looked at I'd say. But it has been around in some form since it's release and at this point; I don't think it's a priority. It was a convo topic even back at TOP so it's kinda always been floating in the background anytime the concept of using it as an interface comes up.

You could also record just the backing track first, then lay down the noodlie-noodlies on a separate track on a second pass.

Loopers are great live tools, but if you’re running into a DAW their value diminishes significantly.

I am ready for when my fm3 turbo arrives hopefully monday!

Just rearranged things.

Right now it's guitar into boss vg-800 (zoia and eventide h90 in vg800 fx loop) and into gm-800, and the outputs of my vg-800 with a hosa ts-to-trs cable going into fractal vp4 input, and vp4 outputs into my jbl speakers and working fine.

When fm3 arrives I'll just take the vg-800 outputs into the input of fm3, and then when my xlr cables come, i'll run them out from fm3 into jbl's and then run the vp4 in the fm3 fx loop

My helix floor is off the main desk and sitting on side desk with my ableton move and tempera. I'll dedicate my helix floor as a hardware synth hub for now, but i can still use it for guitar if i want as i'll have the outputs of helix into my jbl's as well via 1/4th cables!

I just thought of something. I guess I could still use my singular sound aeros loop studio!

I could take the fractal vp4 into the aeros looper and then looper into fm3 fx loop?

This is what I do majority of the time.

I just take backing tracks from youtube and toss them in the DAW and then record noodlie-noodlies over it and then sync them manually with the video and upload... If that works fine then im all good!

As for my own recordings for my ambient/experimental stuff, im never on time anyway or use click tracks or drums, so going off time during ambient or drones is a must haha
