That’s why a loopback cable is needed for this.
Correct... But that's really midi (control switch midi), not a control switch assignment.

A Control Switch can trigger a midi payload that (when looped back from midi out to midi in) is able to select channels.

I know you know... Just explaining for those that don't ;)

Oh so you meant via midi, that's feasible but not on a per-preset basis iirc
Yes, as I said above, a midi loopback cable goes from the midi out port to the midi in port. This allows you to use the CS Midi window to have a control switch send any CC# you choose, to any block you choose(as long as that block is listed in the midi\remote set up screen), no matter what scene or preset you might be on.

Just spent a bit o' time with the EVH5150 III model, and it kills! No no, not the new Stealth version. The regular 50w version that's been there for ages! :rofl

Don't be afraid to move outside of your comfort zone, kids.

The mid grind on the 50W 5150-III Blue is The Best. I love turning up the master volume on that one for an all-mids-all-the-time extravaganza.

I remembered that some of the Plexis were adjusted recently to correct errors, namely the 1959SLP and the Plexi 100w 1970.
Tried the 1970 today and holy balls it's wicked now!

Last time I tried it I found it kinda dark sounding and would always go back to the Plexi 100w High as my go-to, but now the 1970 sounds similar to that model but a little bit clearer? More articulate?

It's got that bitey wirey-ness that I so love about Plexis without being harsh. I think it's my new favourite. :guiness

True... Although there are only 6 Control Switches, so that's a bit limiting.

Still, better than nothing :)
