Fractal Talk

Those AI-generated images are starting to get annoying, or is it just me?

Awaiting a meme “It’s you”…

I'm in the process of building out a baritone guitar. My winter break project. I have no idea how I'll use it. But I think it'll be a cool addition to the arsenal.
Warmoth does a Bass VI neck, but it's tied into their Fender Bass VI replica. I would like to see if my tech guy can build a cooler looking hard tail equipped body around it.

They do indeed look way less scary in this one! 🙇‍♂️

Regarding @yek's comment - it would be a great help to me (when viewing on my tiny MacBook Air) to perhaps resize the images as a smaller sort of preview (using the built-in Xenforo editor)... or even as thumbnail.

I know you've got the batcave thing going on at home with that huge screen of yours!

Interesting… No clear indications of size coming from Bing into Safari.

I don’t have to post any of this shit y’all … if it really does bother you that much.

I think it’s funny as shit and fascinating at the same time. I bet you don’t like reverb and delay on your tones either? LoL

I guess that’s what makes horse racing.

In the time I’ve owned an Axe it’s averaging out to a new amp every 4 days, and a new drive, reverb, delay, or modulation about every 4 hours.

It's funny, but after all these years, FAS modelling and the plethora of amps is slowly changing my taste in personal guitar tones during my frequent amp safaris.

I always used to play pushed cleans and up to EOB... but over the last few months the gain has been slowly edging up towards crunchy.

(I always imagine @JiveTurkey crying whenever I play clean, which makes it hard to concentrate anyway).

And speaking as a person that thought they didn't like fuzz... the Fractal Fuzz Face model has been a revelation to me! 😍

Ah man one of my favorite things is finding tones and amps that you don't ever go towards in real life and having a blast with new stuff. I tweaked on the preset @SwirlyMaple uploaded and cleaned it up quite a bit and with this new tele; good lord :love:love:love

Some day, I'm going to send you one of my clean-ish patches for single coils to see if you can make let yourself enjoy it!

I'll take it! I love the sound of some great cleans; I just don't dial them in. One of the best irl amp experiences I had ever was popping into a rando GC and firing up a deluxe reverb(?) 4x10 here a few years back. Oh my god that was a clean sound where the jaw hit the floor immediately :guiness

I do remember you writing about that cleanish Fender before as a significant surprise moment in the JT amp / tone experience story.

4x10s are something special anyway. Sounds like it must have been either a Bassman combo or a Super Reverb with that cab config 🤔
