The mute thing still happens. Doesn't mute when no effects are active and I'm on the latest vp4 beta.
Ok, thanks!

This will be fixed in the next release. The mute thing still happens. Doesn't mute when no effects are active and I'm on the latest vp4 beta.
Clearly that seller has had his brain malested by a giant badger with various diseases. When you're trying to sell a VP4 on ebay for £872.70 and haven't bothered to check if they're in stock now for £769.
Pardon our interruption...

Ah bless
I also think how loud you are playing plays a huge part too. People on the FAS forums would often state the presets are made for live use and if you aren't cranking them, they may sound not great. Not sure how true that is about them being made for live use since I think they have some specifically for live?I had a similar experience with the presets in my AxeFX when I first got it; while it’s not unusual to not dig factory presets, I REALLY wasn’t digging them and for a couple years couldn’t understand how could they vary so much from how I dial things in. Then I got a Strat w/ single coils and gave them a shot again, whole world of difference. My point of reference was the Evolutions in my JEM and those are a bit over the top and don’t lend themselves to versatility much.

That's gorgeousThis was the test recording I did last night that I forgot to post. Using plex delay and now forgotten which reverb I used argh lol. Getting old sucks
Kiesel Zeus guitar with gk-5 hex pickup into boss vg-800 with a guitar p90 version and a PB bass mixed 50% lower in the mix but together for a thicker baritone/jazz like sound into the fractal vp4 and recorded stereo.
Geez it sounds so beautiful to me

I wanna apologize to @iaresee
I WAS WRONG. Not you lol.
After days with the VP4 and going back and forth with stock presets and twisting knobs and what not, they don't suck as I originally thought especially now that I am running it in stereo, makes things much better!
I was surprised when you said they suck. None of them are really my exact tastes, but there’s a lot of good stuff in there I think especially with regard to what it is capable of and sparking some ideas.

Is anyone using the VP4 with an amp that needs channel switching? It doesn't do amp switching without additional hardware right?
Was just thinking about how useful that could be, to have Fractal effects plus amp switching and do that with scenes. But would need another piece of hardware there...
