Announcing The New VP4 Virtual Pedalboard - Compact Multi-Fx Processor

Setting the outputs to the 660ma setting ?? So you get 1320ma ???I've been using a Cioks DC7 with a current doubling cable (2 DC ports) w/out any issues. I'm only running the VP4 in an amp effects loop (not 4CM) for reference.
Yeah you’d then use a current doubler cable, and you’re golden.Setting the outputs to the 660ma setting ?? So you get 1320ma ???
Truetones are different though, in that each port will take what it needs, and as long as you don’t exceed the total power of the unit, you’re fine. So it pays to make sure how your power supply works.I'm using a OneSpot CS6 with 2 pedals plugged into it. The VP4 is plugged into the 500ma slot and I have a Whammy Riccochet plugged into a 200ma slot. I can't use my current doubler as it's somehow not the right barrel size for the VP4.
I've used this extensively since the VP4 came out and have had no problems. YMMV, but this works for me.
Yep, that's why I've always used them. Plus the guy behind TrueTone is a trip and I'm happy to support creative types like this:Truetones are different though, in that each port will take what it needs, and as long as you don’t exceed the total power of the unit, you’re fine. I power my VP4 off a Cioks DC7 using one of these: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CIOKS8800--cioks-8800-flex-parallel-adapter@iaresee @Fractal M@ @FractalAudio
Powering the VP4. I know the official advice is to use the included PSU, but what is the general required draw in 4-cable-method?? Can I power it from my Zuma?
Also, can I take the feet off easily enough and put dual lock on the bottom to attach it to my board??
Current board setup - running the VP4 in the amp effects loop primarily, but can also wire it in series with the rest of the board to the front of the amp. I change gain pedals frequently so don't bother with locking down cables underneath (excuse the mess).
The Soldano SLO Plus is pretty solid for a 2-channel drive if running into a clean amp that isn't mid scooped too much.

Is the Klone a pedalpcb Kliche mini (special edition)?
Great eye! Yes that is a PedalPCB Kliche build. I’ve started labeling the diodes used on the artwork when I build a Klone. I’ve got another that I haven’t built yet for a silicon diode version.
I use a DC7 with parallel (current doubling) cable. No issues.@iaresee @Fractal M@ @FractalAudio

Good to know, cheers!! Next time though, just post me a link to another forum or Google or something. Wouldn't want this place to be useful now would we?!?!I use a DC7 with parallel (current doubling) cable. No issues.
You can take the feet off but IIRC you don't want to put the screws back in as they could make contact with (and break) the circuit board.
We know you hate Fractal gear, Rhett.I'm selling my VP4. I had it for 3 months and realized that for my simple purposes (noise gate, pitch shifter, wah, overdrive, chorus and occasionally a phaser) I prefer the convenience of plugins over external hardware.
That's Fluff to youWe know you hate Fractal gear, Rhett.
Come to think of it, I've never seen Rhett and @TheTrueZoltan! in the same room at the same time.....We know you hate Fractal gear, Rhett.
