Fender Tone Master FR-10 and FR-12 "FRFR" cabs

Tonight is a captain's hat sort of night!

Well, then you’re golden!

Actually, @JiveTurkey , what is the impetus of using just the FM9, (I would have done that a long time ago, lol), instead of the amps tonight?

Just woke up from a migraine. Ugh.

FM was great. No glitches and worked as planned. I need to pull off my dirt pedal as no room above the FM on the board. I'm going to keep the Boss octaver on there so I can keep FM dual pitch at the back end of my signal chain.

I tell you what; I am addicted AF to plastic tones in the FM. Reverbs, delays, modulations. I REALLY have to consciously dial that stuff back in my live preset. Or not  :grin

On to the FR. Loud as expected. Tilt legs worked great. Much less bass heavy in this venue with non-ideal acoustics than my semi open dual 112s with the Badlander. Little dark and a little raggedy sounding but maybe some additional break in time and a little bit of preset adjustment and should do the trick.

So, should I get one or not? 😂

Yeah, wood is awesome. But it’ll be a kalillion dollars

Especially currently. I’ve been meaning to build a hardwood combo cab shell for my Mark V head (which rarely leaves the house), but haven’t had the time. The material cost would be a couple hundred bucks, and I have all the tooling I need to build it ( including a dovetail jig).
