I've heard it is a tone machine and much more versatile than one would expect upon initial inspection.
He played EVH with it at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute and sounded spot on (as Wolf would through anything anyways), and his own sound in concert is excellent. (seen him twice so far)
One thing I've noticed, is the solos he plays on it, I would never think they come from that guitar.
Then again, I've heard people cop tones that are spot-on to the original, using a very different guitar. One that comes to mind is Dweezil in his Fractal Gift of Tone video, running through some early VH, using an SG.
I had the chance to try one of these. Definitely not what I expected playability/tone wise (still very much in the evh wheelhouse) but the overall vibe grew on me pretty quickly.
Not a super skinny shredder wizard neck. Closer to Fender "Modern C-ish" thin, but with an asymmetric back profile. LIttle more meat on low E side and tapers thinner toward the high E string side is the typical Wolfie profile.
