I don’t hear it discussed much but I think this thing just sounds killer in to headphones. Cost more but completely smokes the Two Note Revolt.

What a fantastic analog solution IMO.

It’s great. I use mine for late night headphone use. I’m on my second one now. Sold the first one and immediately regretted it. The reverb is remarkably good too.

Next up is T-Rex’s Twin Blaze. Sure, it’s not a full amp simulation but looks pretty interesting as a tube pre-amp.

I’m hoping it’s better suited to my tastes than the Friedman IR-? offerings.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Friedman preamp pedals. Had the Tone King Imperial pedal too. I thought the Humboldt was markedly better.

It’s nice to hear I’m not the only one. I have not tried the Tone King Imperial though. It just never grabbed me as something to pursue.

It was ok. Trem was very nice, but I can dial in a better clean and drive tone on the Humboldt. Heard some demos where they got some great tones out of it, and the Friedman’s too. Maybe I’m too dumb, or it’s just not for me. Different strokes I suppose.
