I was almost set on getting this, but noticed that amp parameters are missing presence knob and a few other things compared to GT1000 Core I had a while ago, which leads me to believe that models on GX-1 might actually be a bit dumbed down, perhaps a simpler algorithm.
Anyone had a hands on experience with it?

While I agree when COSM first came out it was awful. The Gt's had better Cosm though.

You weren’t going to buy it anyways. This a $230 dick around toy/emergency backup/beginner modeler.

That may be why so many demoes don’t have that sizzle or chime in the amps?
It's probably because there may not be room. It's stripped down this way. I'm pretty sure it's the same algo, but I'm guessing. I noticed there's no right or left scrolling within the settings.

Definitely is. There's all sorts of things missing from this, and things added: like batteries, and USB-C power. There's not even an aux port, which is a similar type of omission, not to mention, FX loop. But the unit is well received from what I can tell. As far as the battery power goes, lots of these have that, but this only draws around 250ma.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. It’s the digital equivalent of a 1x8 practice amp.

No, just regular parametric EQ like on other Boss devices.
Not sure what Katana Go is an equivalent of, but it has presence and some other stuff not on GX-1. I actually quite like the tones I get from Katana Go (and play it more that Helix Native, feels better), which is why I wanted something along that line, but with more convenience GX-1 offers, such as buttons for every effect in the chain, screen, quicker editing...
I think I'll stick with the Go for now.

Trying to make sense of Boss Logic is a losing game, for sure.
