yes. As for the delay if its like the GX-10 the delay does spillover which I can't see why they would omit it.Was the old gt1 like this too?

And Keef Richards. When WWIII hits all that'll be left will be SD-1s and four cockroaches.

Totally agree, my experience of valeton is they're awfully cheap, and they sound and feel like it.Because they’re not that great, they’re just cheap. I was watching some stuff of the GX-10/100 and I think the switching is actually more robust the GT1K Core, so hopefully that carried down to the 1. For the price I’d take this over the Valeton anything, but I actually like Boss’ original amps.
Lack of highs and shine have never been a problem with ANY Boss processor I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately the Boss modeling works best with their cabs and reviewers using IRs are kinda doing it wrong IMO. If you want really accurate amp modeling you’ll never be happy with Boss. If you want a hyper stable platform that can sound awesome it’s killer. If you need brutal highs stick and x drive in front of one of the X amps. Unnatural high end if you want it, lol.So far all the demos I’ve heard in the last two days just seem to be very flat sounding and mid range sounding like there’s no brutal highs no clean crispiness
Let us knowMine arrives next week.
I considered the new Blackstar floors, but I just didn't think I'd like the UX. Non-rotary knobs are always problematic, and while they are using the screen to show you the current value of the knob....it's just tedious to have to sync the knob's position every time you want to change something.
Plus, I really liked the GX-10; the only reason I gave it to my brother is because it was a perfect fit for him (and I wasn't using it all that much).
And the GX-1 improves on the GT-1: I always loved the form factor, battery power, and the UX of that:
* No more COSM, or rather, now it has X amps
* LCD replaced with a color screen; the GT-1's screen was so effin bright people were actually modding it...and it was kind of a struggle for these old eyes to read sometimes...
* USB power, just as another option.
* They added the 'hexarray' gimmick, using the fx lights as meters.
* ...and the Gear Suite feature, kind of like global blocks or whatever you wanna call it.
Spark 2 will continue to be my daily driver for practice, and FM9 for everything else. So all I need from the GX-1 is for it to be cheap, fun, and super portable.

I am surprised DT one is still available to buy the same price so of course I would rather buy the GX oneMine arrives next week.

Yep. When I started playing the best thing on the market was the Digitech RP1. I was lucky enough to have one of those red Korg G1 units. The 90s as a kid trying to learn to play was a different time for sure. That's the price of 3-4 BOSS compact pedals, if it sounds like the rest of the GX line that's pretty good value. I would have killed for something like this when I started playing.
Selling a huge amount of gear. They're pretty good at that.why do they keep iterating these. what is boss doing
Dumb question - but I presume the GX amp models are a step above what is in Katana? Are the effects the same or also improved?

It has basically every thing the Gx-10/100 has. Yes it has the Tera Echo. 11 delays to choose from. Extra 3 effects blocks besides the regular blocks. No splitting of divisions like the Gx-10/100The X amp models are an improvement, the others possibly not so much.
The FX are still pretty much the same as far as standard things are concerned (and pretty good IMO), no idea whether things such as the Tera Echo and what not made it into this unit - and while we're at it, all this is coming from me assuming that the entire collection is identical with the GT units (but I think it should be, at least for the most part).
