It’s really hard to imagine how they make it better …

This is precisely why I have zero concerns over it. Even if they announced it today, I’d still be buying an FM3 at some point in 2024 because I want a small scale Fractal rig and no matter how much the next gen is going to rock, I’m already getting my dream tones out of this current gen and doing so happily.

It’s really going to take a lot for me to jump to a IV. I mean, liquid funds would do it right away just for the fuck of it, but I think it’ll be a LONG, LONG time before anyone on the planet can say “I need to upgrade to an AxeFX IV because the III can’t do what I need it to”

Though someone on the Fractal forum did put it into good perspective, if a new release was coming out tomorrow, you still have the best device that’s on the market today and it will never get worse.

And most likely about a year on the wait-list based on past history...

Dear diary,

• First update in the books. Simple with Fracbot. I was expecting something closer to:

• Im not a spring verb dude. They sound very good, but I was literally trying to find a “drip” knob. lol
• The tape chorus, inject into my soul. Sounds great. I’m such a chorus fiend that I can’t pick one to use because I want to use all of them, all the time.
• The problem with checking the “new” verbs is I don’t really know which are the old ones. Literally only a couple jumped out as obviously new.
• Can we get a round of mf’ing applause for the Echo Plate? It’s a freaking vibe machine.

• I just realized there is a dual voice pitch shift inside each reverb. Which brings me to a talking point…

Anyone that says they don’t want/need/like deep parameters should buy a UA pedal and then walk into oncoming traffic. I was somewhat worried about Fractal being too overwhelming for me as a bit of a mouth breather myself, but the farther I venture out, the more I realize how cool some of this shit is. And you don’t have to go full tard, you can pick and choose which deep parameter stuff you like or want to focus on. (Or ignore) I don’t use 97% of the deep amp stuff, but the Sat switch and changing the power tubes is BADASS. Finding those pitch shift parameters in the verb block is very cool. These options aren’t complicating, they’re just awesome.

• With 23 installed I have my Leon blocks back!
• I never got to the new tremolo stuff. The day is too short to be able to mess with everything in one sitting.

Question:
The Dyna cab 1.05 file in the 23.0 zip folder, is that a separate update you have to run, or does that get pulled in when you do the main firmware update?

I only used Edit and I sure as heck don’t see “Drip” after Spring Tone or Spring Drive, only a param called Boiinnng!

Separate update you have to run, but if you're updated on all the current cabs already, you only have to do it once, not for every update.

There’s a FAS Bass amp as well, I believe. I’m not familiar with the bass-oriented dynacabs.
