When you figure out what a Input Trim and Master Vol Trim do…

Adds an entirely new dimension to tweaking tones. Kind of a custom amp builder.


I still haven’t entirely wrapped my head around NFB, but I know turning it counterclockwise tends to brighten things up with more string clarity, and turning to the right makes things a little darker, and thicker.

The other thing that’s awesome, is when you realize that the cut switch is configurable.

Input trim is just a flat more/less gain control. MV trim controls the range of the master volume, so you can hit the virtual power amp harder/softer - cool if you want to push a high headroom amp into power amp distortion sooner, or to clean up a low headroom amp.

Yeah I’ve been experimenting with that, either slightly taming high gain amps while trying to retain its core character, or increasing the gain profile of lower gain amps to give it a little nudge in the other direction. Very powerful controls, and really useful.
