Axe-FX (A Love Story?) Rd.1

Guys. This wait to get my FM9 back just might kill me. I've already been pondering irrational thoughts like, "I could buy another, have it shipped Next Day Air too, and then sell my original when I finally get it back." :bag

Was totally being silly since you can have 8 amps on speed dial with this thing, but you have proven to be the Oracle thus far in my Fractal journey and this may be part of the prophecy.

With the gapless switching you can treat presets like scenes, I’ve actually been rethinking my approach with the rack unit (which normally sits next to my desk at home). Instead of a kitchen sink preset, I’m now building kitchen sink banks of ten presets each. And multiple scenes within each preset…

  1. What is the name of the scene page that shows the scene details in text, and more importantly how do you get back to it once you’ve erroneously gotten off it in AxeEdit?
  2. Is there a shortcut to jump to the end of the IR library where the user IRs live? (AxeEdit)
  3. Is there a view that only shows user loaded IRs? (AxeEdit)

I’m doing absolutely nothing “productive” with this (or formerly the FM3) because I’m still in kid-in-the-candy-store mode every time I fire it up. Just no bad sounds in the thing. Need to force myself to commit to a tone or two and record something.

I debating going full dork and printing the block guide in color double sided and throwing it in a nice laminated folder for casual reading while I’m on the couch pretending to give a shit about Domino Masters with the family. :ROFLMAO: Such a badass reference guide.
My “coffee table book” 😂

Gapless + 2xFC12 = 24 amps with a single tap

I feel for ya! If I had to go 2 days w/o mine, I know I'd go crazy!

Messed up thing is, I know a guy who has a III, something like 10 Ibby's, and a pair of DIY cabs with F12-x200 speakers, and he raves about it all, yet he hasn't touched any of it THIS ENTIRE YEAR!

1- I didn't know that page exists.

This is why I don't mind the create-your-own organization aspects of it, there's multiple ways to speed up the process of getting to your preferred IR's.

You can actually run up to 4 FCs (or 2 with the FM3).
And then imagine you had an FM9 + 4 FC-12s! That's 57 switches for those not good at math ;)

Edit:

Bummer... The FM9 only supports 2 as well per the FM9 manual. Previous comment was based on the FC manual which probably hasn't gotten an update since FM9 was released.

Hell yeah, exactly what I needed! :beer

I like to use the library cab saves for my handful of go-to’s but I still like to scroll through my master list occasionally and just being able to sort and/or color code the user ones is perfect. (Without having to scroll past the 37,635 stock cabs to get there) Noice.
