It's great with distortion, but I tried playing a clean, slow, arpeggiated riff 5 semi-tones down, and it still needs work for that sort of thing. Weird artifacts.

Or I could buy a 7 string...

I haven’t tried dropping too low. Honestly I haven’t strayed far from Leon’s block libraries in the Pitch block, but I always find most detunes start getting wonky beyond a couple steps.

I haven’t gotten a great POG like tone yet on the Fractal (Leon does have a preset called POG, but I kinda shifted past it since it had a volume drop, and I was digging his Dual Detune stuff so much)

One thing I'm noticing is that you can craft so much with just amp and cab block
Then some reverb, plex delay and detune and well not much I cant achieve

I couldn’t get the Plex Delay to run on mine without melting the CPU and starting the self destruct sequence. I need to try that again tomorrow and see if it will work in a barebones preset.

I kinda think the FM3 isn’t the device to get the full Fractal experience unfortunately. But, for the $900 I got it for new I feel like it was a steal. So I’m conflicted.

You could always order the FM9 and then post it here to pressure @timbuck3 . I mean that’s what I’d do, anyway.

I've never used a POG but try the Octave Divider in the Pitch block. I love that thing!
