In the end neither really wows me and at this point I am not buying -JUST TO BUY AND TRY AT THIS POINT. yEA you guys can flame me all you want but i am not the on ly one thinking like this about these units.

Then what is the point in constantly asking for comparisons if neither wow you and you have no interest in buying? There are plenty of videos out there of fractal units and a good amount on TMP. The information is out there for you to make an educated decision on which unit best suits your needs.

However, constantly requesting others do this work for you and then in the end you say you have no interest just gets old and tiresome. Perhaps you don't mean for it to come off this way but alas.

Also, as others have mentioned, while you can make an educated decision on which unit works best for you, you aren't going to know until you try it. So in this case, you probably would benefit from buying to try.

Made it through the FAS amps.

These jumped out to me.

FAS Buttery
FAS Brown
FAS Hot Rod
FAS Lead 2
FAS Modern 1
FAS Modern 3

Brown and Hot Rod are just awesome.

Lead 2 is nasty. Modern 1 is nasty.

Modern 3, killer, but not in a chugging way. Back the gain wayyyyy down on that beauty and hit with a touch of the neutral input boost and it’s just really great snappy mid gain rock.

Knowing how to save a cab library is awesome and makes everything so much easier demoing.

I need to go back to Rivendell and hang with the ambient clean tones, the ear fatigue is real plugging away with these higher gain amps. lol

I’m up to about 17 keepers and only made it partially though the letter F.

You are indeed missing out. They're all pretty stellar in their own right, but Buttery is really somethin' else.

There's a factory preset that showcases four of 'em - FAS Originals/#95. My advice is to swap out the FAS Wreck scenes with the FAS Class A. Change the saturation to Ideal on the FAS Rhythm too.

Hahahaha I'd love to see what would actually impress Tim at this point, I think it'd take an altar rising up from the modeler with the actual amp head sitting atop, then the artist who inspired the tone Tim is looking for comes out in a butler outfit and dials in the amp while feeding grapes to Tim. That was really cool too, but almost in a “yeah I know this will shred” before I even turned it on kind of way. I liked the 6160 and Crunch models too.

All the FAS amps slap really.

I’ve been reading up on them now on the wiki and it’s interesting. I normally don’t get along with Dual Recs but his versions on the FAS Modern 1/2/3 are perfect. Takes out all that bloat. Just mean and tight.

ok what i meant is the fm9t didnt wow me gui wise..tone wise it does 110%...the tmp wows me in gui somewhat but in variety of tones it doesnt.

geez guys..if you go shop for a car -research them you narrow down to a few..maybe even 2 and then if you are not impressed buy those few do you just buy one anyhow? NOOOOO you wait till the right car speaks to you. Some people just settle for something they dont need or love ....why? Why buy just to buy? you guys have way too much $$$ to throw around i guess.
