Awesome! Thanks, Andy. :cheers

Would you go staggered or non-staggered on a 9" radius?
A quick picture of the 54 stagger next to the now standard vintage.

The bridge pickup is an MJ Gilmour and the neck and middle are AY 54s. This is my favourite Strat.
The 54 style is actually better for most guitars.

Telecaster string trees.
I'm starting a Warmoth Tele build. I also got their Gotoh vintage tuners (non-staggered). I will start out and try without a string tree, but do you think this likely won't work and I'll need one, at least for E and B strings? Thanks!

You can usually get away without one but the nut slots need enough depth to keep the string from jumping out during strumming.

The obvious choice is an R6 Les Paul and as much as I love the look and sound I don’t enjoy playing them which is why I prefer the PRS .

Andy, how do you roll the edges of the fretboard? I once tried compressing the wood with a screwdriver, but I guess filing is the better way to go – what do you think?”

Hello Andy, So im looking at this Guitar which is really almost the same as my Ibanez AZ, with some slight differences, however up here in Quebec Canada its like $950.00 After watching some Reviews and some Forum reviews there seems to be an issue with the B string and overall tuning stability when using the trem.
The axe does have staggered locking tuners so I dont know why they would use string trees? Nor do i get where they are positioned?
Ive time stamped this video where this guy talks about it and what he has tried to fix the issue no avail.
Was wondering is this fixable or its some kind of Inherent design flaw

What are your thoughts ?
as always your Input is much appreciated

Cheers

Mike

That’s pretty good but I would still be looking to cherry pick a used Premium AZ . It’s worth the money but I still think the AZ is a better option.

It is but its almost double the Price here in Quebec
What do you think the Issue is with the Tuning stability ?

I think it won’t help that it has string trees and maybe the nut needs a tweak but it should be possible to get similar performance to the AZ out of it.

My AZ stays in tune even with moderate to heavy abuse, it does have fantastic hardware and no string trees at all
