Great form-factor, great feature-set but the power-section is just no-no at least in my books.
I got the SYN-30 last year brand new from Thomann and filed a return the same day. It felt really anemic, got loud but didn't have any impact to it.

Looks like they're calling it "Reactance". Could be some sort of NFB control or it could hit both the HF and LF resonance peaks.. who knows..

Ya they have 3 or 4 power amp setting maybe those are combinations of presence and depth
At least they got a separate master
Clean channel i suspect is lifted from the Soldano Astro green galaxy simple vol / tone , probably a 6v6 power section same as Astro

Yeah BAD is spreading their dev work across the family. Probably the same app as the IRX just retooled for the SYN20.

I’d guess this year there will be a couple IRX variants from their other brands, and probably another Astro-like head or two from them.

Depends on the band/drummer/venue. I rarely ever play my GM in 40 watt mode, I'm more likely to play it in 5w or 20w mode these days.

It seems just putting an actual potentiometer on the face would be cheaper and easier than some sort of digitally controlled presence value -- its an analog power amp, not a digital model of a power amp.
