4×12 "FRFR"!?

I had a 4x12 once. It was back in the late 90's. Original 4x12 Mesa Recto cab covered with leather and armor. I used it for one show. It sounded truly amazing. By the time I got it back into the car, and back in the house my back was wrenched and I decided not the even carry it upstairs and sold it the next day. :wat

You're smarter than I am. I gigged with a 4x12 for like 10 years. I remember carrying it up a rickety wooden outdoor staircase behind some sketchy club, thinking, "Man, these stairs are really inconvenient," not for a moment questioning whether the problem was not the stairs.

I used to think there was something for everyone out there. I now realize I was mistaken. Now there is something for everyone.

This is not for me (I'm a 1x12 or 1x10 or direct person, and have been for years). But some will love it.

Well, it's a 4x12" with a 2600W power amp attached - which also looks pretty damn good (IMHO). A bedroom player will have no use for this, but i can totally see these for playing live, specially musicians already happy with modeling.
well this side if Townsend, the Martin Miller/James Gardiner type of guys sure AF won't have the bread to cart those around other than from one YouTube video to the next.

Crazy world when guitar players shit on 4x12s. We're supposed to want a wall of them on stage.

Just get creative. I bet this dude at one of our shows he couldn't lift mine and for 5 bucks he put both of mine from the stage to in the back of my van lol. Bro do you even lift still works in 2024.
Did you get him to whitewash your fence, too? :D

Why else would you include IR?…on their website they say the reduce DSP usage in the connected modeler…seems like a solution to a non existent problem.
Not even the first solution to this particular non-existent problem. See Line 6 Powercab. Plug a Helix Floor into that and scratch your head. :)

Actually, if I was still using an fm3 an external IR loader might be attractive as using an ultra res IR can was up some valuable DSP. It might actually be a little attractive on my FM9 Turbo as well just to be greedy as I hit the dsp cap on what's starting to become my favorite preset and still want to add another block or two lol.

But I still don't want this thing. This line of thinking does have me considering an external IR loader now that I'm thinking about it though. Ideally one with SPDIF in/out, stereo, and midi... 🤔

Why else would you include IR?

That is in fact a pretty valid question. I can perfectly see how people would love more speaker estate.. But which kinda things do you connect that'd need an IR loader? A top running through a loadbox? Any random preamps or amp-in-a-box pedals?
Sure, you could save some CPU load on your modeler and/or gain a freed up block (defenitely a neat idea for HX Stomp owners), but others than that? And if I was in the market for such a thing, I'd be using a modeler which would not cause me any troubles because I'd be loading an IR.

With those the theory is that the output is that of a guitar speaker… not a miced speaker. That’s a solution for peeps that don’t fancy the miced sound on stage…so this one I get..well sorta…seems like a complicated way to get whats easily done by…using a guitarspeaker ;)
Same thing Kemper Kone does…only with the DSP in the modeling unit.

But this thing seems to simply do the regular IR part…
If this thing could compete with the powercab/kemper kone I could see the point of it. A 412 that could instantly switch from a v30 model to greenback model, or even mix v30s with T75s in an X pattern etc.would be really coolbif it worked well.
