Should I flog....?

Get rid of it. My guess is later on, if you even have the desire (which it sounds like you won’t) to rebuy one - you can get a used one for decent money. And I’d be willing to bet it won’t be any more expensive than you sell yours for (and there’s a chance it’ll be less with more competition and potentially newer or updated fractal devices out if/when that happens).

So you’ll be good.

Throwing my thoughts here because it seems relevant. Jacked up on coffee and overthinking, as usual.

Selling stuff now sucks. GC is pretty much my sole buyer if not trading with someone on FB. I'll always buy and sell but major pieces at this point are really kinda getting scarce as far as things I know I still want. Hell, I made my JVM dream come true and it sits there collecting dust because the Mesa gear just pummels it in every way for how I want to use it.

The FAS stuff on sound quality is top. If your definer of fun is that; you aren't getting any better. With no yuck to anyone else's yum intended. But if your definition of fun is the enjoyment of the experience, it's a fucking slog at times.

I have my stereo rig I have been using with my pedalboard using the MXR chorus to split things up front and the SDE3 to route things in stereo at the loop levels. Thinking about doing a swapout for fun with the FM3 today and just the concept of it is giving me the nopes. Going into the system settings and setting everything to where it needs to be is a FUCKING CHORE and then having to go back and reset them so I can put it back in my gigbag for a backup purposes for the next gig is a big fat NOPE on every level.

I don't know if that helped you; but I needed to get it off my chest :rofl

Defo agree with this. Part of the reason to keep the Axe3 is how flexible it is as well. On the VP4 let's say you wanna take a reverb and crunch it up a bit in parallel to the dry path... oops... can't do that....

But Axe3 is the most flexible unit on the market, bar none. But with that comes the slog-through-treacle experience that offends so many.

I'm kinda in the middle. I totally CAN deal with it... I just usually don't want to.

The III is better than the floor units. As far as driving me nuts on changing routing desires on the fly. That is one area I will give Helix stuff all the credit in the world. Select the physical jack in system menu, set the level and destination, go back to chain and set up the signal path.

Any of these activities, especially on the FM3; is not fun. At all. That's not to say we shouldn't have to learn something now and again. Creativity gets tough to muster and anything impeding it jusr kinda sucks.

It helps if you have multiple Fractal devices set up for different use cases. But you’re absolutely right if you don’t.

My first real interaction with a British person was in Afghanistan, his unit was working with our unit on some mission. He came up to me and said some fuckin crazy shit and I didn’t understand a god damn thing, like the deepest London street accent idk wtf that was. I was like 😵‍💫😳 and said something like “ok man, have a good one!” 😂😂

One of the Oasis brothers was working with your unit?
