Should I flog....?

Oh yeah. Because @SillyOctpuss and @MirrorProfiles are regulars here, I constantly forget this isn't a British forum.

Did the FM3 thing in stereo with the III and the Multiwatt. Pain in the ass to change the I/O settings (in a first world problems way obviously) and feel like I have it optimized for what I was wanting to do and then fought the change to stereo in all the effects block as the mixes were all off and the joy of stereo was nowhere near as apparent or satisfying or (most importantly) IMMEDIATE as just plugging into my board like I have been doing and twisting some knobs for about 10 seconds.

I knew it was going to be this way.

Get on board the hoard train!

I'm not gonna sell anything for a long long time. Idgaf about value dropping, not in it for the money.

And when our old folks up and leave this realm I'll have more real estate to stash gear!

Reasons to keep:

  1. Gives me options when I want to overcome the routing limitations of the VP4.
  2. Can handle way more block instances than the VP4.
  3. The amp modelling is great. Right now I am not too concerned with using it, but one day I might be more concerned about that. Those Revv's are fucking stellar after all.
  4. I can use it as an effects processor for my synths as well as guitar.
  5. Product support and updates are very important to me - Fractal have earned their place at the top of the ladder as far this goes.
  6. I would definitely have envy if I sold it, and kept seeing the Axe3 get updates before the VP4 !!!
  7. I went digging into the Plex Delay block again recently, and there's so many fantastic sounds in that block alone. I think I might start using it as my default reverb block.
  8. Sounds a bit better than the VP4 in 4-cable-method with an amp.
  9. I already sold it once in 2021 and massively regretted it and missed it even a month later!
  10. I don't need the cash from the sale to fund anything else.

Should I flog my Axe FX III? I've got a Helix Stadium on pre-order, and I'm pretty sure it is going to be sick. I've still got a Helix kicking around, and I still really dig it, apart from just being a bit bored by some of the effects. I have the VP4, and I love it too.

Generally speaking, I just use my amps. They sound the best, whether through a cab or a loadbox.

Axe III .... I love it in theory, but in practice, I am not capitalizing on it at all.

How many times have you already re-bought the Axe III?

Your cyclical gear rotation is not regular enough to predict a crop harvest, but occurs enough times to allow for a reasonable prediction of recurrence at some point.

Unless you need the dosh, I'd sit on it for when the modelling lust takes you again ...

Then keep it, and print this post out, frame it, hang it on your wall next to the other one, and read them, not when you're thinking about selling it, but every day! ;)

And when you get the urge...
:verynice

Guess I should have read the whole thread :rofl

Don't make my drive up there and give you a piece of my mind/heart/soul. :banana
