Yamaha THR Series

I don’t see why they wouldn’t
I think they should just release like a full size combo that kinda looks like the THR 10 but it’s like 30 W or 50 W or 100 W stereo 210 to 12 I don’t know. I think that would be the next step right instead of these little boxes release a big bigger one that’s a combo

For whatever's worth, replacing battery packs in these kind of devices is usually really simple - and cheap. They all come from China, so finding compatible replacements takes 2 minutes of googling.
Yeah, I've done it with other things, but...it still irritates me. And the given battery can indeed go out of availability. I've experienced that before as well.

The Yamaha's THR name comes from being your "third amp" - the one that's not your studio or stage amp. I think there is a definite place for the desktop amps, even though the competition is more fierce. I'm guessing Yamaha is trying to figure out how to make those cheaper more than anything.

I would love to see them make a 1x12 combo ala Boss Katana, but since Yamaha owns Line6 maybe they don't want to have too much overlap between their departments.

I have Yamaha THR 5 V2 , and it's really cool for recording like, bedroom noodling. :D Or however to call that. I like it. I prefer modular USB recording over like microphone interface one, so if you want my small 5 cents - Yamaha THR is cool.

Exactly - they'd be hurting sales for their own product.

I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with a third gen THR - I would likely buy one at release to be honest.
100%
I'm a sucker for various stereo amp setups and would love to run my Spark 2 and THR in a crazy stereo setup, just for the sake of "because I can". Very interested in what the potential third generation brings to the table.
