Who’s wireless these days?

The last time I used wireless live I had horrible problems with interference and signal cutting in/out. That experience spooked me and I haven’t trusted them ever since.

With the theater stuff there are so many wireless signals being used in the production it can be a bit dicey

A quick update- the Sennheiser was flawless all night. Sounded great, zero dropouts or interference, and MAN was it nice to not have a cable in my way!

I just ordered an Xvive A58 system (I just returned the LEKATO WS-50)

Xvive does list its max input range on their website; Looks like they give you an option for a -10dB pad as well, though looks like they don't make it up on the receiver - I'll test it out once I get them.
MAXIMUM LEVEL
Passive mode: 2.84Vp-p; Active mode: 7.5Vp-p; volume -10 dB

I have the A58. Love it.

Do you have experience with the WS-50? Just curious how they compare. I’ve experienced very noticeable degradation with the WS-50. It doesn’t get used much.
Never heard of it until now. But so far I don't have any complaints out of the A58. Sounds pretty transparent, has pretty good range and hasn't had issues with interference like my old 2.8 GHz units had.

I’ve been using the Xvive’s for nearly 2 years now and they’ve never failed me - practice and stage.

Used the Lankatos for about 6 months prior and they did this really weird thing where my tone would cut from full sound, to like it was just a clean signal w/no fx, to out/silent in a few split seconds, then do it in reverse. Would happen 3-4 times during practice, at totally random intervals and took me about 2 months to figure out it was those and not my amp or a pedal or cable.

LiveeviL talked me into buying the Xvives and Ive never regretted it.

Fishman just came out with their Airlock Wireless GT, for $319.

Limited availability, so far, but Fishman says it's really robust at fighting interference and latency is around 3ms, unless you engage more anti-interference, then it goes to 5ms.

Pricey IMHO, and it only works with Fishman Fluence Moderns :crazy

I’ve used many of these cheaper ones, nux, lekato, xvive. I’ve always had issues either with specific guitars or some high pitched noise, dropouts in some venues etc.
Shure and Sennheiser are the only wireless I trust on a gig.

I have the Lekato 5.8ghz for rehearsal and home. They are cool for what they are, though they make some awful racket when the batteries get low.

Live I splurged for a Shure QLXD. I play guitar in one gigging band and bass in another. A couple units I tried didn't love the output of my active basses. The Shure has been amazing and is rock solid. If somehow I ever end up touring the country, I should be set :rofl.

Really I just have more money than sense most of the time lol... and used a cable Friday night because it was a dual band gig and was easier than trying to fit my wireless rack on stage.

I saw Bob Mould live a few weeks ago. I was right up front. He was using something like the Xvive or Lekato dongle types (I couldn't see the logo). He ran around the stage all night. There's a rig rundown of the Flaming Lips and Steven Drozd was using something like the Lekato. If they're good enough for those pros they're good enough for me. I have the Lekato and I haven't had any issues with it. They're cheap enough that buying a backup isn't an issue and they don't take up any space on my board.
I've got the ws90 lekato and it's great for acoustic straight to pa desk but when I use it with helix lt I get a lot of hiss unfortunately.
