When you buy new effects pedals ?

sometimes, especially depending on the pedal


but then sometimes boxes and boxes start stacking up and I'm like "F this" and throw them all away

I always keep the boxes. Everything I have that isn't on my pedal board or my recording desk is in it's box in a cabinet I have specifically for my pedals. If I buy a used pedal, I will only buy ones that have the box and original materials with it. I tend to buy ones that are in new condition. I guess it is kind of an OCD thing. Yes, I have a couple of OCD pedals too. :)
