I'm curious about the popularity of various digital modeling brands right now, so would like to see what everyone's using.

For the poll, please mark down your primary or favorite if you use/own multiple. Feel free in the thread to expand on why you like it, what else you use, what you're curious to try out, etc.

For me its def still my FM9, and will be for a long time until a next gen platform comes out

Stomp XL for me. had it for about a year and it does everything I need, and a lot of other stuff I dont use but nice to have in case I do.

Actually looking forward to what Stomp-like footprint they have in store for the Stadium.

UA. Better sounding currently. Fractal users will whine and all that... But only because they know they are wrong.

In before this thread goes totally off the rails.

I put NAM because it’s probably what I end up using most.

I like Neural DSP’s plugins best for what they are, Helix Native is basically a modern classic and great for what it is (but a bit dated at this point). I also like Fractal and UA’s amp modelling but they see less use on my work.

IMO all the others drop off quite heavily but I’ll save that for the inevitable rant sister thread so the perceived negativity can be swept under the carpet 👀

I could gig with Boss, Fractal, Kemper and L6. I choose Fractal overall obviously. Capturing on platforms that actually can do it with any sort of real accuracy for me is a non-starter. Maybe Proxy will change that?

I think I just passed the 8-yr mark (or maybe it's 9) with my Helix LT and it's represents roughly 70% of my usage. The other 30% is split between my OG Yamaha THR10c and a POD Express I use at my tiny summer hideout. So YGG no matter how you slice it. I picked the Helix LT because at the time I didn't have the budget for Fractal. Even though I have occasional bouts of Fractal FOMO, Helix has improved enough over time that it feels like I've "upgraded" several times in 8 years without spending any additional money.

Definitely Line 6 these days - they hit this perfect balance of sonic quality, features and usability in a way no other brand could so far, IMHO.

Fractal is a close second, but boy do i wish they would revamp their UX already.
