component level tweaking of pot values, bright cap, input, gain stages, phase inverter, feedback, transformer, power filtering, output, etc.
This is my fear as well and that would be another big loss - a manufacturer that does something different from the rest of the market. The last news about the Amp X is that we will get more info at NAMM in January. I guess they will do a "paper launch" then, but actual store availability might take some time. They seem to be pushing people to get the Amp 1 models atm, but that might be just standard holiday sales stuff.I think it’ll sink the company. I feel as though he bit off more than he can chew.
Processing block placement/order in the signal chain. What do you mean by component placement?
You can change bright cap values, tonestack type, center frequency, and placement in the virtual amp, output stage bias, power supply sag, transformer match, etc.Do you mean you have the ability to change virtual values like coupling caps and bias resistors, etc, because that's to what I'm referring.
It’s got to have an expression pedal. That might be the hill I die on. All in one means all in one.
Would like to see some of the big players like Marshall and Mesa Boogie do what Fender did with the Tone Master Deluxe and Twin amps.
Like messing their reputation up?
Are you implying that currently Marshall and Mesa Boogie have more solid reputations that Fender?
I have no idea. But I still think they should try out the "let's make a modeler" effect. F*ck around and find out, as they say.
There's still missing pieces of the puzzle.
To be clear, I'm not talking about this.
Ah, ok. Wasn't entirely clear.
I'm all for that, too - even if I personally won't ever buy a real guitar amp again.
I get what you're saying, but I mean a scenario like in a real amp schematic. The ability to create your own from scratch -- that means the order and value of caps, resistors, tube types, voltages, and of course controlling how the gain stages work along the signal path. A complete amp designing, modeling platform, from input to output.Processing block placement/order in the signal chain.
You can change bright cap values, tonestack type, center frequency, and placement in the virtual amp, output stage bias, power supply sag, transformer match, etc.
You might want to read the appropriate section of the Axe-Fx manual, as it appears possible that it can already accommodate your wish.
Is this in a standalone plugin or a current modeler?hot swap preamp/power amps
power amp only
true effects loop between preamp/power amp
annnnd component level tweaking of pot values, bright cap, input, gain stages, phase inverter, feedback, transformer, power filtering, output, etc like Revalver has. forget gui, idk if it's a literal spreadsheet mode tucked away in settings
