When you write “pups” instead of “pickups”, what do it do with all the extra time you saved by not typing “ick”?

It’s minorly infuriating to read grown men typing pups in a conversation about pickups. I imagine if you said it in real life, I’d be moved toward violent action.

While I don't write "pups" anymore, I have to admit that I did for a while when I first became a member of a guitar forum, because that's what other people were doing, so I thought it was the correct way to refer to them. I just copied the locals so that I'd fit in.
