What are you listening to right now ?

I like this song, but WTF is up with the rest of the album?? (I gave it another try today.) All his dystopian lyrics are too much, the pop-music hooks..., it's just awful. To me. WTH happened to them?

You can dive further into Baressi when you get to the last two A7X albums. Baressi engineered/produced, Andy Wallace mixed and Bob Ludwig mastered (Gateway is like 25 minutes from my hometown). That’s the trifecta of audio quality badassness right there.

Cool! I saw those credits. :beer

I am taking a break today. M Shadows is James LaBrie'ing the fuck out of me and my ears at the moment.

Man I have such fond memories of the time when this album hit. I was dating this cute little blonde hottie who, while driving in my Monte Carlo listening to One Slip, she would do the drum hits on my dashboard and turn to me and smile (man how I love women who enjoy the same music I do, to that level!), on to seeing both their live shows in DC, the opening night of the tour at the Capitol Centre and the one at RFK (both gone now!)

Until I saw Muse in 2019, those Floyd shows were the pinnacle of light and sound for me. Sorry PF, but it did take over 30 years! Lol

This was also A game changer moment for me, He put guitar Instrumentals on the Map
Satriani was a relative unknown to the average music fan, but a highly respected guitar teacher behind the scenes,

Then We heard this on the airwaves .. and suddenly things changed !!

It was a game changer for sure! Awesome album. Kudos to John Cuniberti for production and engineering too.

This never actually leaves my DVD player.

And to anyone who has not heard this since the original release in the 90’s, the 5.1 mix on it is fucking fantastic. The first time I heard it on my system, despite watching this so many times I wore out 2 VHS’s, was the closest I’ve ever felt like I was back at the show. The low end is really something else and it wasn’t until I heard it in my living room that I even remembered how much low end/sub bass was going on at that show.
