I was diving into a Joe Baressi rabbithole, because I really dig his production style and mixes.
Lots of modern production is sub-heavy, and yet you can't hear a bass guitar even a little. Joe
also doesn't blow you out and crush all the dynamics. Top notch for my ears.
Anywho, no wonder I dig him as he produced the Kyuss records in the early 90s.
Checked out his record of work and saw he engineered on the album for this band.
Had totally forgotten about Cry Wolf.
Some killer guitar tones. I can recall liking this song.

That album would definitely fit in nicely next to some Nelson. That's the group that should've been made fun of on Beavis and Butthead, not Winger.

I owned the debut Nelson album.
I saw them and Lynch Mob open for Cinderella back in 1991.

You can dive further into Baressi when you get to the last two A7X albums. Baressi engineered/produced, Andy Wallace mixed and Bob Ludwig mastered (Gateway is like 25 minutes from my hometown). That’s the trifecta of audio quality badassness right there.
