Between the music, the live performances, the concepts, the settings, and the stage attire---there was no more
creative and fertile period of rock music than the early to mid 70s.

Bowie, Floyd, T Rex, Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Zeppelin, The Who, just to name a few.

Must have been the drugs, or the Zeitgiest. :chef
 
no arguments here as an old friend of mine keeps saying "I don't care what anybody says the 70'were the 70's'

I impulse bought a ticket to see The Cure a couple months ago, and apparently the show is on Thursday. So I'm going through their classics today.

I’ve been easing into Tool’s latest. Everything they’ve put out post Lateralus has taken me longer and longer to come around to, but this one (Descending) clicked right away. IMO it’s one of Maynard’s sharper lyrical compositions too.
