What are you listening to right now ?

It's hot summer days, so what better to do than listen to melancholic Finnish music.

Today I've been listening to Maustetytöt (literally translates to Spice Girls :ROFLMAO: ), and their sound is the most Finnish thing since Leevi & The Leavings or Ultrabra. Vocal harmonies, The Smiths influences with dark lyrics about suicide, drudging through life and failed relationships.



The chorus translates to something like

15th day without you and beer
It should make things easier
But I wouldn't bet on it
Without you and beer, there is not much left anymore
Maybe it will make things easier
But I wouldn't be so sure about that.

I wondered where I've seen the guitarist but Hizaki is the guitarist from Versailles...same style, with very dramatic vocals!

The whole Japanese Visual Kei thing is just fun, crazy stuff with insanely talented players.
