When in Rome .....I actually dig that, and I'm not usually into pointy and edgy style guitars. But this one is.

OK, disaster averted. I found the Dean Custom Schenker on Facebook, looked at more photos... and was reminded that I really can't get with a guitar whose headstock is as big as its body.Did someone say Needful Things reflex?

I have wondered about these more than a few times. My main "concerns" lie in how seamless that extension is. And the angle is a little steep? Looks like it's built like a tank!

Biggest twitch for me on Solar guitars isn't the pointyness really at all. It's the lack of inlays. I don't dig the 12th fret marker most of them use, dots look too plain (like on the one above) and they can't really break too far out of the metal aesthetic because that is what should make sense given their target marget

I'm partial to no inlays whatsoever, so those understated mini-dots actually appeal to me. HOWEVER, I could very much do without the "tramp stamp" sprayed all around the region of the 12th fret.Biggest twitch for me on Solar guitars isn't the pointyness really at all. I LOVE Ola. And I think a ton of his models are killer. But I do struggle with the inlays quite a bit. 12th fret sig inlay is eh but the rectangle on the other frets look quite good I think

I had the white model of this from Washburn when dude was with them. It had an interesting feel to it. Of course; it has a Floyd Rose Special so I won't be touching it with a 10 foot poleAlways bet on trans black over flame... or ARREST ME YELLOW with black appointments.

That's part of it too. I just really like the overall shape and the dark color balance of the example Stone posted. While that Solar i was eying at first is a beauty , its just way out of my budget
but this one just might be the cats meow or rather should i say the Lions roar
All it would really need (for my preferences) would be a set of locking tuners
plus the only S type I have is my Charvel be nice for another seeing I have 3 Les Paul type Single cuts
and this one is in my price range

Maybe a real Gibson sg, even if my epi signature does well the job. Also duesenberg got really nice models, like the star player
But at the moment I will calm down with gear, I have already 12 guitars .
