I’m watching a documentary series on prime about dictators. Looking for management tips lol
ship nerd.
Interestingly, it was never any kind of law. Just a custom that anyone could've pushed back against - and indeed they did. Quite a few of those oceanliner disasters resulted in the actual crew forcing their way onto the boats, leaving the passengers to fend for themselves.Watching a show about the sinking and aftermath of the Titanic. "Women and children first" really makes no sense. Should be youngest families first.
Yeah I'm sure it happens. It was stated that during the loading of the lifeboats, that was what they went by. My feeling is, people being loaded in any certain order, it's assumed some aren't going to make it, thus "women & children" are more important. But following that thinking means families get broken apart, leaving the more vulnerable of society (in general, but certainly at that time) to fend for themselves, without a husband.Interestingly, it was never any kind of law. The S.S Arctic is the one that springs to mind.

Yeah, one trailer was enough to tell me that's not for me.This new GoT spin off sucks ass. The cheese ass whistle music theme they’re running with isn’t helping things either. Jfc
It's the Captain's call, really. If they say women and children first, that's what it means. Of course not everybody will respond the same in the heat of the moment.Interestingly, it was never any kind of law. Just a custom that anyone could've pushed back against - and indeed they did.
