Finished up Zero Day over the weekend. Worth watching and a decent twist at the end.
Yeah I almost gave up too. Fortunately, my guitar teacher started me on Mr. Crowley Solo, so I sat there and busted out a thousand or 2 reps on the first phrase while watching it, lol...I tried to get into that but couldn't finish it and stopped.
Just a guess, but... spoiler alert?watched a documentary last night about some treasure hunt on netflix. forrest fenn.
i lol'd so hard at the 3 dudes from the trailer park who spent 2 years trying to move that rock and nothing was under it. they looked totally gutted hahaha.
kinda think the entire thing was fake
FANTASTIC film.Stayed up too late last night watching Hereditary. I was in the mood for some horror, and apparently this is going off of Netflix in a couple of weeks.
Very nicely crafted film. I love the sets (the house is practically the star of the movie), and the lighting is absolutely gorgeous. The acting is top-notch across the board, with masterclasses in miserable, haunted, horrified... Very affecting.
Story goes a bit off the rails and chooses the "open ended" option over the "tie up the loose ends thus retroactively cancelling all the horror" option. Call it the lesser of two evils LOL.
I got my money's worth when the camera suddenly fixes on the mom on all fours on the ceiling, banging her head against the attic door. I don't scare easy, but that's just creepy AF. Well played.![]()

My recommendation is, if you are => 60 years old, do not watch this movie! It will simply give you nightmares now and through any internment in a nursing home ;~(( It is very well done as Mr. Turkey has stated, nightmare fuel nonetheless.Watched The Rule of Jenny Penn last night. Cruel, mean-spirited flick on Shudder about a nursing home bully. John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush are in it and their performances are excellent as to be expected. Again, mean spirited and depressing as it portrays what is basically a nightmare scape for people at the end of life. Oddly inappropriately comical in some spots because of the stellar performances. Definitely a tough watch but I loved it nonetheless.
It is cruel, mean spirited and probably pretty damn scary from a later in life POV. The small streaks of pitch black inappropriate humor (the guy setting himself on fire; the HUGELY inappropriate way Lithgow behaves throughout is just nuts but had me laughing despite how despicable he was) and performances from Lithgow and Rush were great though. My recommendation is, if you are => 60 years old, do not watch this movie! She was great in first season of Yellowjackets and Heretic.I just watch Companion. Decent enjoyable little movie with a few surprises.
Sophie Thatcher is really great. I hadn't seen her before; now a big fan.
