What are we watching now?

Finished Silo S2, and started on Severance S2. I fully expect we'll end up with "Y'all got a season 3 for these shows?"

Re-watched Twilight with Hackman. What a FANTASTIC film. Stellar cast. James Garner was great but was also pleasantly suprised by oddball Giancarlo Esposito bits. Killer gumshoe does the 90s vibe overall. I don't know if I've seen this since it came out but really enjoyed it this go round.

We just watched Heretic last night. The directing and acting are really, really good. The writing is cool too, and it was interesting to me especially, because I agree with so much of what Hugh Grant's character argues in it's essence. I was telling my wife you could've taken those themes and made a film of any genre based on them; it really didn't have to be horror at all. The horror elements were done extremely well though; I felt uneasy, creeped out, and scared for a good chunk of the film.

The interesting thing to me was really the acting chops of Sophie Thatcher especially. She just had an intelligence radiating that made me really want to see more with her. But really, every part of the film is excellent, in my book.

Binge rewatched season 1 of severance and now a couple episodes away from being caught up. Intentionally slowing down now and trying to save some lol

My friend is a native and she introduced me to this show.

This is different from other TV series. Themes of alienation, absent parents, depression have been handled well. There is right proportion of comedy and serious content.

This is my favourite episode from the series. It is painful to watch, but its based on truth. If and when you watch it, you will know why.

GREAT show! Funny, moving, insightful, tender-hearted.

I had to tap out of Cobra Kai into Season 3. Got a bit too teen drama/CW for me.
Like unbearably angsty/overdramatic. Then again I am 57.

I will probably muster up the cajones to dive in and finish the show. Just not right now.

I feel you, it does get rough in that sense and it's best to take some breaks when it gets too teen drama. I do recommend you keep watching tho!

Subscribed to the NJPW World streaming app, so will be checking that out some. I finally threw in the towel and gave up hope that modern WWE would ever be worthwhile. It won't improve and has no intention of doing so. After 10+ years, attempting to get back into it, I have accepted that I just do not have any fun watching it, and it pales in comparison to even the "worst" period of WWF/WWE's past (1993-1996).

Finished up the 4th (and last, presumably) season of Preacher. It nearly lost me at a couple of points, but by the time it was over... yeah, I thought it was pretty great. I liked the way it wrapped up, and I miss watching it already.

Hope to get properly stuck into S2 of Severance now, as time permits. So far, it's even crazier than S1. (For instance, what is the deal with these goat people??)
