It was a joke .Is that a thing? I’m finding nothing on it.
"Yay, everything from Marshall got discounted a bunch!" Yeah, but can you actually get any of it in stock, or nah? By the time they work this shit out, they'll figure out that they could really do it "better" with an extra $500 for the JVM410H and shit like that. "Oh, it is infla-sply chai-tion!"I did not have time to watch much today, but plan to watch it during my next insomnia session. Was he ever asked why nothing is being shipped out to suppliers in the USA with everything on backorder? I'm just thinking how they can keep 780 people employed and not ship out amp products...
I don't think anyone is too interested in his music career history![]()
Got my discounted JVH410H with no issue. I check stock or expected ETA before passing on a subjective experience."Yay, everything from Marshall got discounted a bunch!" Meanwhile I've read several people talk about how they've had something on order and the ETA was kicked down the road numerous times. Marshall's US distribution was terrible before because it priced them out of the market, but their distribution now is a total joke.Got my discounted JVH410H with no issue. It can be done. I have the head.
You’re right. It can’t be done. Excuse me, I’m going to play right now on an impossibility. I’m sorry for misleading others by think that tenacity and homework is fruitless. No one said it was optimal just that it was possible.Meanwhile I've read several people talk about how they've had something on order and the ETA was kicked down the road numerous times. I don't want it. The amount of flex in the pots on the JVM410H is pretty laughable. Did they ever fix that or is that still a failure point? You’re right. It can’t be done. It takes tenacity and focus. Let’s all take a moment to lament those that have neither. And enjoy the item right in front of us.
Supply and demand is a bitch. How bad do you want it?
Then you sound good to go to me. Why bother speaking about an inferior and unavailable product? Waste of time IMO.I don't want it. The amount of flex in the pots on the JVM410H is pretty laughable. Did they ever fix that or is that still a failure point?
Many years ago they fixed this on the 410 only by fastening the pots through the faceplate.I don't want it. The amount of flex in the pots on the JVM410H is pretty laughable. Did they ever fix that or is that still a failure point?
Maybe, perhaps, I'd be interested in another Marshall amp? Then you sound good to go to me. Why bother speaking about an inferior and unavailable product? Waste of time IMO.
I got my discounted SC20H too, but lots of others are not getting their amps and cabs they ordered and ETA's keep getting pushed back. Not everyone is getting their orders on time.Got my discounted JVH410H with no issue. I check stock or expected ETA before passing on a subjective experience.

Fair enough.I got my discounted SC20H too, but lots of others are not getting their amps and cabs they ordered and ETA's keep getting pushed back. Not everyone is getting their orders on time.
My point was that there are lots of people that are wanting to buy new Marshall Amps and Cabs at the new prices, but delivering the product has been an issue. Why would this not be asked in an interview?
Which is basically what I was stating.I got my discounted SC20H too, but lots of others are not getting their amps and cabs they ordered and ETA's keep getting pushed back. Not everyone is getting their orders on time.

I'm not really a fan of pre-orders, backorders, etc. When it's in stock, I'll see if it's in the budget, whatever the item is, and assess. Until then, I'll pass. It's a headache to deal with and I'm just not interested in that. Just to reiterate, this is a general comment, and not specific to Marshall's current woefully inept distribution nonsense.I might have bought a JVM410h if it was in stock, got a 5150 instead. I was concerned with the noise floor and wondered if I really could make use of four channels with just one presence knob.
I think Marshall needs to do some redesigns. No one needs an amp with four reverbs, but they could just use the noise gate from the JS version, make some other tweaks, etc.
Ever tire of wearing the Mr. Crankypants?![]()
