Wah (t's) Going On? A Thread Celebrating The OG Effects Pedal.

I don't use wah very much, but I still like to have one on my board. The basic Vox V845 works for me. Modded for true bypass.

I've sort of (de)volved into a bit of a Wah-ficiando.






They are just so cool to me, and they are fairly cheap and readily available,
so why not have Willy Wahnka House of Flavours??

I've never had a wah but it's next on my list.
I'd like to get the Mick Ronson signature model but it's not available here so I suppose I'll get a second-hand Crybaby.

I didn't know there was a Mick Ronson Sig Wah?

I love how both Mich and Michael Schenker used the Wah as an always on sort of Filter Effect!

Good luck marketing a Michael Schenker signature wah. It'd basically be his favorite setting on the Dime wah (I believe that is the one he typically used) with a gear that is essentially disengaged, and the potentiometer doesn't move at all.

and being a very stupid man its helpful to not have the wah accidentally being on becoming a troubleshooting issue

So last night I finally wired up my newest pedalboard. I had a wah on it in place of a volume pedal, but decided to wire it in for now. Anyway, get everything done, plug it in crank it up, and everything sounds like crap. A disturbing amount of trouble shooting later, I realize the fucking wah is on. Grrrrrrrrr!
