Video Games

Anybody play Battlefield 6? I’ve never really played any Battlefield games, but I’m so sick of the skins in COD multiplayer (getting killed by Beavis and Butthead or a stoner chameleon just feels stupid)

Started Resident Evil 7 with my son. So far the game has just been boss battles and it freaks my son out and we have to turn it off after about every 45 minutes. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah the first one was the last one I played. That was great game and pretty novel for the time.

My son watches a bunch YT dorks playing scary games, so I was like “Let’s just play one ourselves”. Big brain idea.

We’re a few hours in now. A few really good jump scares. Has a nice creepy vibe in general. Some gory deaths.

It’s ended up being a good tag team effort for us. My son is much more clued in on where to go and at catching clues I’m overlooking, but when the shit starts to hit the fan he shoves his head into a pillow and leaves the zombie ass kicking to me. :ROFLMAO:

I'm not a fan of Horror genre in general but played Resident Evil 4 or 5 back in the day and really liked it!

I tried the PT demo some years back that has since been removed. Now that was another level of unnerving 😂

RE4 is among the best games ever made IMO. Wii version still has the most satisfying gameplay and I've finished it like 6-7 times. Remake is great as well. It's a bit light on horror, though 🤔

I liked 8, because it reminded me of 4 in a lot ways. We'll see how 9 turns out!

Yeah it was essentially a demo....I think the name stands for Playable Teaser lol

Not to recommend you watch YT dorks play a game but whoo boy what a creepy atmosphere that demo was. Drops you in the middle of an "empty" house with 0 back story.

I'm not sure why it was taken down but people were selling their PlayStation at an absurd rate if they had it installed.

FYI Half-Life 2 is like 2 bucks on Steam right now. My absolute favorite game what I consider to be "The Shawshank Redemption" of video games - something that is absolutely as good as all the hype makes it out to be.

Also I want November 11 to be here now, damnit. Lumines Arise must be mine.

Any fans of Dead Space 2? I loved that game. Scary, cool story, awesome graphics and environment.

Another favorite but not a scary one, Portal 2.

I haven’t played video games in years since my xbox 360 died, but I have been wanting to get a new xbox just to play through these two again, since I think they’re backwards compatible.

I have not, I will check it out sometime but I don’t have a pc at the moment. Also have been meaning to play Half Life 2.

Playing and loving Absolum. They took the classic beat 'em up formula from the 80s/90s, with games like Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe, and made it modern with some nifty rogue-lite mechanics.

Heard a lot of good stuff about this one; need to snag it

I was never into the genre, but my wife and I played all the way through RE5 together... must have been XBox 360 with couch co-op? Great memory. Back when we had so much more time on our hands...

The PT demo was creepy AF, and also the first indication of what the PS4 was capable of in terms of next-gen graphics. I had it installed when people started flipping consoles for thousands over it, and seriously considered doing the same. But I was convinced something would backfire (games are tied to usernames, after all) and I'd wind up on the wrong end of a scam.
